Helen is a ceramic artist and teacher, with over twenty years experience of making and teaching her skills. Helen also exhibits and sells her work.

Helen’s first clay creations were made in a school holiday workshop as a seven year old.
Thirty years later, she still has those pieces and the passion for ceramics she discovered as a child.

The Art of Permanent Objects

This experience is a unique opportunity to spend four gloriously relaxing and highly informative hours immersed in an artists studio space. Exploring your own creativity through making objects from clay, I will ignite a passion for pottery within you.

You will be shown and have the opportunity to handle numerous examples of ceramic / pottery pieces learning about the processes used in making these pieces.

Queen Bed Room

Queen bed with views of the front garden. Suitable to accommodate up to two people. USB charging & wifi facilities in both rooms.

KIng or Twin Room

Room can be configured as a King-sized bed or twin beds. The room overlooks our quiet garden with an unhindered view of Mount Bride. Suitable to accommodate up to two.



Warburton is located approximately 70 km to the east of Melbourne.

The Yarra Valley is Melbourne’s closest gourmet region with wine, cheese production and chocolate just some of the producers to be visited.

Warburton is at one end of Victoria's best bicycle trail, which makes it's way through beautiful forests with magnificent views of the Yarra Valley and Yarra River. The PTV bus service can take your bicycle (up to two bikes per bus) if you only want to ride the 35 km trail one way.
Warburton’s altitude makes for nearby lush rainforests, fantastic bushwalking including, LaLa Falls, the Riverwalk, Backstairs Track, Mount Donna Buang, Redwood Forest and the Rainforest Gallery.
